ABOUT US

W A L L is a small but diverse and innovative Architecture and Landscape practice with projects ranging from conversions of historic buildings to bespoke contemporary houses, masterplanning and landscape.

We work closely with our clients and offer a very personal service. We enjoy problem solving and unlocking the potential of difficult sites with sensitive and aesthetic solutions that are directly responsive to their site and use.

Having worked together for many years, W A L L was formed by Emma Weeks and Nicole Lafone and has offices based in Elephant & Castle and Westerham.

Emma Weeks

BA Hons Arch. Dip Arch RIBA . ARB

Emma is a qualified Architect and Landscape Architect.

She studied architecture in Leeds and London. Her studies at London Metropolitan University explored urban proposals for London, Venice and Reykjavik, with a focus on the threshold between architecture and landscape.

Emma has worked on a range of projects including one-off houses, listed conversions, schools and master planning.

She has led landscape projects with JCLA Landscape Architects, specialising in sustainable site-specific strategies and solutions for landscape development and restoration. Projects include the landscape for the Windermere Steamboat Museum, West Croydon Public realm, Kingsgate Liddell school Camden and Thames Baths Project.

Nicole Lafone

Nicole graduated from The Royal College of Art with an MA in architecture. Having worked for practices in both Germany and London, she set up her own practice (Co3 Architects) in Westerham for which she had been a director for over 20yrs. She also completed a BSC in Landscape and the built environment.

Over the years Nicole has worked on a diverse range of projects from master planning, landscape design, conversions, residential, commercial and retail to zoos and city farms. Her favourite projects are often those with the most constraints on sensitive or historic sites requiring an inventive and often lateral approach. These include successful applications in several world heritage sites.
